Volunteering is rewarding and benefits both you and the local Community. It enables you to give something back and makes a real difference to other people's lives.
You may be recently retired, employed, looking for a career change or a student looking to build your experience. Volunteering enables you to use your existing experience and skills, gives you opportunities to learn new ones, increases your confidence and provides valuable work experience which can enhance your CV.
Volunteers provide essential support to our projects by helping local residents to access digital inclusion activities. Being unable to use IT and the internet can be a big barrier to lots of things in our lives, including finding work, claiming benefits, keeping in touch with friends and family and saving money on our bills.
Our volunteers coach and support individuals one-to-one or in small groups to develop the right skills, motivation and trust to confidently get online and use technology, empowering people to lead fuller and more independent lives.
If you have a few hours to spare and are interested in volunteering with us, we would love to hear from you. You will need to have good communication skills, patience and empathy, and the ability to explain information in simple terms. Full induction, training and ongoing support will be given.
Please contact us for more information and an informal chat.
